This was a great movie, with something for the younger kids... as well as in-jokes that older kids and grown-ups will appreciate. Luckily, some of the more mature themes are subtle enough that they shouldn't bother kids (or maybe I was reading into them more than I should've). Definitely worth watching, and now I want to read the story to see how it matches up to the movie.

Watched this with my wife, and the thing that made it the scariest was that it was based on something that happened, and (relatively) recently at that.

When I started reading this book, the end of the trilogy, I thought, "is she taking cues from Lemony Snicket?"

There were times when I doubted that there was any light at the end of the tunnel, but by the end, I realized that this is possibly the best of the three books. Like the others, there is good and evil, fighting, betrayal, near-death and deadly experiences, magic, and a few twists.

This is one of those movies that you watch, then wish you could get that time back in your life. Sure, there's "tasty goo" that turns you into a zombie-like thing (and kills you in the process), and a kid eats shaving cream and pukes in a guy's car... Maybe it's worth watching, if you need to check off something in your "cheesy-80s-movies" list.

...if you've seen it, you know how the rest goes. This was (and still is) great sketch comedy. There are people who don't like it, and that's ok. Nobody's perfect. heh.

If you get a chance to watch it, check it out. You'll find plenty of quotable lines, and might find something else you like.

If you're not completely awake to watch this, make sure you're drowsy or drugged (it's a good thing).

Within the first two minutes, you'll realize that there's something unique going into your head. It blurs the lines between sleeping and waking, and you're drawn into Stephane's perception of reality.

The ending seemed a bit abrupt, but overall this was a good movie.

It was much better than I thought. Bay didn't ruin the memory from childhood, he just brought it to a new level.

This is a great action flick, and it's about time the "bad" aliens found out that humans aren't as insignificant as most movies portray. It's set up for a sequel (that's all I can say without giving it away), and I can't wait for it...

...is in the gag reel in the DVD extras. If I had seen this in the theater, I would've been more than irritated.

It's slow, and almost seems like a combination of "Groundhog Day" and "The Lake House." Throw in a little "Memento" and you get the idea. The problem is that it's not nearly as good as any of the three. Disappointing, but checked off in my list of movies I don't need to see again.

It's worth watching on DVD, since you'll need to re-watch a few parts...

Also, there's a couple of really good parts in the DVD extra features, mostly involving Paolo Costanzo beatboxing.

He wore a shining star... and ever since the first time my brother and I saw this, we were hooked. It's got a little something to offend pretty much everyone, so it's an equal-opportunity offender.
