make sure to watch the extras.

It's worth watching on DVD, since you'll need to re-watch a few parts...

Also, there's a couple of really good parts in the DVD extra features, mostly involving Paolo Costanzo beatboxing.

twist, twist, then another...

I love the heist genre, and just received this on DVD. It was great to watch in the theater, and in the several times that I've seen it, there are new connections that I make to the pieces of the "job" that takes place... It's not a blockbuster, but it's more than worth watching.

This is classic. "Whoa, it has a 28.8kbps mo-dem...!" It's worth watching now, just like it was when it was first out.

quotable and then some

This is a great movie for a pick-me-up and quotable almost all the way through. Write that down.

another one to re-watch

Posted : 2 years, 11 months ago on 15 December 2006 03:09 (A review of Memento (Widescreen Two-Disc Limited Edition))

You'll miss something the first time you watch this. It's a good movie, and it's great when you pick something new up that helps you understand the story, and maybe get Leonard a little more.

not now...

It's a funny movie... until you work in an office. Then it's hilarious, because you start relating to all of the nuances that are in the place you work at (or formerly worked in).

watch this at least twice

Posted : 2 years, 11 months ago on 15 December 2006 09:57 (A review of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon)

Between the fight choreography and the cinematography, you're going to miss something the first (few?) times you see this. I would love to see this on the big screen and take it all in with surround sound and IMAX.

classic comedy

Posted : 2 years, 11 months ago on 15 December 2006 09:12 (A review of Young Frankenstein (Special Edition))

This is one of my favorite movies, and one from growing up (starting at about age 10). I could watch this any time, along with Blazing Saddles... Somehow my brother and I used to always watch them together.

I can watch this over and over. It's funny, quotable, and the deleted scenes/outtakes are great too. You know how I know you're...?

It's true.

Posted : 2 years, 11 months ago on 12 December 2006 10:42 (A review of Fight Club (Two-Disc Collector's Edition))

Clean food, please. This movie is great on so many levels, from quoting to repeat-worthiness. Watch it at least twice before passing judgment.

Remember, the first rule of Fight Club is...
